There are many London High Street stores I will miss when I eventually decide to trek back to Sydney..

One being the fabulous.. HOLLAND & BARRETT!

They are the leading suppliers in Herbal supplements, Minerals and Vitamins throughout the UK.. 

I am constantly shopping in there as I take ongoing supplements to keep me healthy. For starters I am allergic to some dairy products so I need to make sure my calcium levels are up to scratch all the time to keep my bones strong.. I also need magnesium for bones too and Vitamin D as my poor little body doesn't get as much sun as it used too..  I love there selection of teas, there newish bar of mixed nuts and dried fruits!! (mmm mix some of these with some rolled oats and honey to make some wonderful and healthy muesli bars).

I can not live without Holland & Barrett!!

Holland & Barrett have extremely competitive prices and always have one deal or another going.. The brand has also recently introduced 'Rewards for Life' (which I was so excited about.. I must have been the first to get a loyalty card) The card is free and you earn points while you shop and that accumulates for you to spend when coupons are sent out to your home.

Pycnogenol £11.85, 30 capsules

Very glad I received this, as I dont have too much knowledge of supplements for skin, hair etc except for Fish Oils and Omega... I will post another blog once I have tried the supplements so you can get my honest opinion of the trial..

This is a great supplement for someone concerned with ageing as helps to improve skin hydration (which I need) and Elasticity (which I also need) Promotes glowing and even looking skin. Very excited to try this!

Hyaluronic Acid £9.75, 30 capsules

This claims to be the well kept secret within the skin care industry. Hyaluronic Acid is a protein that occurs naturally in the skin. Looking forward to supple, youthful skin from this. Also contains Vit C which supports the formation of collagen! As we age our body produces less Hyaluronic Acid which helps with stiff joints and  dry skin.. Many purposes for this one!

They literally just take a few minutes to apply and even less to remove.. Already to go and all in theme.

These will definitely set you apart from the crowd! and the great thing is that you can choose how long they stay on for.. So if you need them on for the weekend and not allowed for work or school.. its the perfect idea and cheaper then salon nails!

So in each box you get 24 different nail sizes.. and fake nails never usually fit me perfect.. but these are such great sizes and are sure to fit all! One set is a more wearable set and the other quite out there as you can see above.. I love that you could either wear the whole set or just choose a couple as feature nails.. They are reusable and come with 4 sets of stickers. They look of very great quality and I was informed they should last 3 weeks no chipping etc..!! FANTASTIC BUY

This smells so fresh it was my favourite product in this months box.. I  look forward to trying some other Molton Brown products.. Relaxing scent and vitamin rich fruit extracts to boost the skin and invigorate any stress! LOVE

Clairns Extra Firming Body Cream
Great tarvel size moisturiser.. extremely ruch and helps to lift and tone for firmer skin and a younger looking body!

Burberry Beauty Mini Lipstick Rosewood No.4
Cute little lippie sample.. Not my colour so will most prob give this away to a friend.. Burberry packaging is magnificent.

Narcisco Rodriguez.. her
First fragrance for her by Narcisco Rodriguez. A lovely scent. More of an evening fragrance for me. Very happy with my samples so far.

YSL Forever youth liberator serum
I have only tried this once and is so rich and the perfect treat for nightime use.. It suggests to apply prior moisturiser for extra boost and moisture for the day though due to consistency I prefer at night for skin recovery..  Perhaps someone with more ageing concerns would benefit with this product

I must say.. This has got to be one of my favourite boxes yet.. Smile from ear to ear.. Loved the idea of having Harrods collaborate with Glossybox.. Looking forward to another box filled with great goodies next month. In every box so far.. I have been given a product I have never tried.. I love the concept of Glossybox.. It really lets you get a feel for brands and try new beauty bits.

I was lucky enough to be invited to have some drinks and nibbles with the Giorgio Armani crew and to mingle and check out some of there wonderful new products at Loreal HQ.. 

The products were truly amazing.. 

I fell in LOVE with the 'Eyes to kill Intense Eyeshadow' 

This comes in several colours.. has such amazing pigment and can be used wet or dry.. The colours were just gorgeous.. very sexy, very smokey and very Giorgio Armani! It comes in a little pot.. A little goes a long way!! Feels like silk on your skin and has staying power that wont crease.

Another fav from the night.. was the ever famous foundations! This has been a must for all top Makeup Artists for many years now and is loved for its gorgeous sheer texture leaving your skin glowing with just the right amount of coverage.. Easily mixes with a base (moisturiser) for a lighter application.. Cater to your skin.

Lisa Shepherd - The Hair Colour Doctor!

A few years back in London when I was dying my hair almost every other day a different shade of the rainbow. I sat in a chair and told my hair colourist 'Lisa Shepherd' herself... I wanted to go from brown to blonde.. (I am a dark brown/redish curly haired gal).. With no hesitation and immediately 'NO' she replied.. I knew of her status in the hair industry and credentials and am also quite open minded when it comes to hair cuts and colours though at the same time very picky and often cut my own hair.. as hair does grow back peeps.. and mine.. seriously fast! She said she would NOT die my hair at all  if  I wished to go blonde that day.. I agreed and one hour later I was a gorgeous dark brown/shiny chestnut the most perfect colour for me!.. Probably the best hair colour I have ever witnessed on myself.. It was the perfect shade for my skin tone, my eyes, my personality. PERFECT.. almost more suitable then my actual natural hair!! She did the most amazing job and I was over the moon as I walked out!! She truly is the Colour Doctor!!

I have been talking lots about oils lately.. they seem to be the craze at the moment and I really have found many I have loved and use daily.. They work with all skin types and feel like heaven on your skin..  As we are changing seasons at the moment they will of course help with looking after your skin over the transition period.. I tend to use a different skincare regime for summer and winter periods.

Refining Face Oil with lavender, Ylang Ylang and Rose

 

This product helps to bring  your skins natural oils in to  balance.. Use morning and night after cleansing. Just one or two pumps over the face and neck before moisturiser. This is light, non greasy and has vitamin E properties to restore and protect (which I find I need in London.. especially in the colder, windier months). I love the lander scent that comes through..

Anti Age Skincare Rich Repair Eye Cream

There is a whole range dedicated to anti age concerns.. This in particular was perfect for keeping that plump and radiant quality around your eyes. Elasticity and fine lines are also focused on with use of all the natural ingredients such as shea butter, arctic strawberry, baobab, rose wax.. it feels so smooth and smells fab too!

Paul Smith AW12 Hair Trend Report

Hair by Peter Gray for Paul Smith sponsored by MorrocanOil.. FW

The look for Paul Smith show was created around the models profile. Peter wanted to create a masculine look from the front and feminine look on back and profile.. So sides were taken in tight and then profile looked like a big round shape then taken in to a pony tail. He did not want a strong resemblance to the 60s so slightly altered positioning of the pony tail. Morrocanoil Luminous Hairspray was used for texture and hold. The ends were slightly curled roughly and textured again with a little Morrocanoil Luminous Hairspray on the fingers then pinched on to pieces.

I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely lady who with her sister has been running this successful business of Fine Casting in bronze, silver, gold and glass as well as bespoke finger print jewellery for kids young families..

Glossybox February

It is that time of the month again... GLOSSYBOX arrived for Feb!!! This box dedicated to Fashion Week! I say this every month.. but I love Glossybox  most for how they introduce me to new brands and products!! It keeps me in the loop.. It's great to try new things and have products fresh in mind to recommend to my clients..

Now every month Glossybox suprise me with a brand I have never heard of.. and this is it! 

This could not have come at a better time.. I needed a new one for my Makeup kit, somehow misplaced my last sanitizer.. It smells of Lavender which I love and is completely affordable!!! Handy spray for any time of day! Very happy with Luxury sample number 1. x


Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower gel
Yet to try this one.. I am always eager to try new shower Gel.. I react to quite a few so any that sit well on my skin I tend to remember..  Another New Brand for me.x
Now looking at the bottle.. I didnt take much note.. Just checked out the website and has made me more interested in this brand as they follow aromatherapy principals and use high grade essential oils in there products.. and am currently in an essential oils craze faze!!

Becca Beach Tint watermelon £20.00
Smells delicious!! Smells of summer.. I have already written a review of this product just last month on a  different colour.. I am a huge fan of these!! they are amazing, water resistant, non drying, easy to use, a little goes a long way.. And Full size!! Very happy with this in the Glossybox.

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow £7
This one may get better use with a friend as I have a million gold eyeshadows and a billion mineral shadows.. This will make a great gift for a friend and a thoughtful and inexpensive little prize for someone special.. I like to gather 5 products over the months of Glossybox that are not for me and build a box for a friend..

Awapuhi Wild Ginger Treatment Oil
Smooths and seals dry hair with natural oils.. Really does absorb like a charm.. I like to apply on semi damp/dry hair. I am quite familiar with Paul Mitchell products and would highly recommend this oil.. smells lovely too in small doses.. Ginger can be quite strong for some.. so use sparingly.. leaves your hair feeling super smooth.
