After my recent post and pics of Zombie Boy.. I got online and looked for some amazing and very creative Hair and Makeup looks Gaga has worn in her videos and events etc. I love that she is not afraid to be different.. She uses some fabulous wigs.. Of course amazing Makeup Artists are involved there were never ending amounts of fab images to find.. and hair of all colours of the rainbow!! LOVE!

Montreal Tattoo Artist Frank Lewis worked on Rick from the age of 21 and took over 3 years to create this artwork. Hundreds of insects you will find scattered randomly.. the whole piece cost thousands! Looks absolutely amazing!

My Glossybox arrived!!! Oh the excitement.. What's in my September Box? 

For those of you who haven't heard or perhaps been living under a rock the past few months for only £10 (+ £2.95 postage and packaging) the Glossybox team source 5 different luxury samples every month for you and post right to your door.. Spa Magik Salt Scrub sample (Two packs of Exfoliating Dead Sea Salts with Coconut Oil and Vitamin E to hydrate skin (As a Makeup Artist I hear and work with lots of brands.. Though am unfamiliar with this brand.. so very interested now to give it a try and research the brand in more depth to see what else they have on offer. Happy!)

HD Eye Brow Pallette FULL SIZE! 4 different shades great for my Makeup kit and for all those who fill there brows in! Use them also as eye shadows, eye liners.. multi purpose.

Another FULL SIZE product valued more then the monthly subscription fee was..

Neal Wolf Intensive Hair Treatment (all skin types).. Also another brand I hadn't heard of.. I love being introduced to new products and we all love a good hair treatment.. Will put the product to the test, smells lovely straight form the bottle.

and last but not least..another new brand to me KIMIA Face Oil and Activator for your face. Made naturally in the UK.

I had a couple of weeks to test out some of the range on some clients guys and gals here are my fav picks from the bunch..

Foundation Hair Prep and Primer
Works amazing as a starting base without adding weight to hair but leaves just the right amount of shine and eliminates any tangles you may have.Best sprayed on damp hair to create foundation for other styling products. All these products work well when layering.. so experiment.

Finish Instant Hold Hairspray
This has a medium hold.. What I love most is that it is not sticky!! Use to complete look.

Adapt Texture Paste
Medium hold and matte finish gives you the opportunity to reshape through the day and play with different styles from day to night. Work in to damp or dry hair.

Glue Extreme Creme
Freeze a shape! Don't need too much to get that strong hold. Gravity Defying..

L'OCCITANE + Josephine Fairley Event

I had such a wonderful evening at an event this week held for L'Occitane in the gorgeous Covent Garden Boutique hosted by Josephine Fairley an award winning journalist and inspirational entrepreneur!! The evening introduced me to 'L'Occitane's Immortelle Divine Range' There are several products to help fight the signs of ageing and to preserve our youthful skin. The room was filled with the vibrant yellow organic Immortelle wild plant from Corsica.

The essential oils from this plant have been used since ancient times. Depending on the time of year it takes approx 1000kg of flowers to produce just one to two litres of essential oil!) The plant is known as the everlasting flower as even after it has been pulled and dried the vibrant yellow colour still remains.

Here are the products in the range.. the gold pot in the centre is the 'Anti Ageing Beauty Bible Award Winner' This gem is made from a combination of Immortelle and Myrtle essesntial oils that contain high levels of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Has a wonderful silky texture and feels nourishing on the skin. 30ml £65.00. (Make for perfect gifts).. The Essential Water is my fav pick! 200ml £16 smells and feels so refreshing.

Charles Worthington - Salon at Home

I was thrilled to be asked to attend a launch last night of Charles Worthington's newest product range 'Salon at Home Hair Straightening Kit'.. The product gives you an amazing 40 days of straight hair..! Charles Worthington and his team of scientists have created two alternatives after years of testing and trialling.. A semi permanent treatment for coloured hair and one for non coloured. This will help to achieve the perfect results for your hair at its current state. So expect straighter, smoother and more manageable hair which will in fact reduce styling time and give you lasting results for up to 6 weeks. This will be hitting the shelves at Boots late September so keep your eyes peeled people.

This 'Straight and Smooth' product is safe and easy to use in the comfort of your home (which we love). All you need to do is apply the straightening treatment to wet hair and leave to develop for 20 minutes. Rinse out and apply the conditioning neutraliser for 5 mins. I love Liz Earle Products

I know I have mentioned a few on this blog on various posts.. Today the 'Superskin Concentrate' is my fab product of the day.. For my skin works best as a treatment at night time for face and neck.. once a week.. Liz Earle suggests to try instead of a moisturiser.. 2-3 times a week.. You only need a tiny drop ( a little goes a very long way)

Many brands today still don't cater for darker skins or have limited range of dark colours whereas I think Bellapierre have a perfect amount on offer.. Opt even for 2 shades one for summer, one for winter.. then you have them both to mix for those in between seasons! Double Cocoa and Chocolate Truffle are fantastic for darker skins. This product is multi purpose as can be used as a concealer, setting powder and foundation depending on what tool you use to apply and contains SPF also.. Full coverage and has a fabulous smooth texture.

Shimmer 9 Stack

As a Makeup artist I am always in battle with my loose pigment shimmers as they are constantly creating a mess due to poor packaging.. Bellapierre have created several shades of shimmer eyeshadows (which have great pay off)  that come perfectly packaged in a durable 9 stack! I believe there are 7 different colour options to choose from.. fantastic! These multi purpose eyeshadows are best used with a sponge applicator so less product falls on to your face when applying, this also gives you a more dense colour on the eye for a wonderful vibrant colour. Use slightly damp applicator to create more of a cream texture with the powder (can even use this trick on the cheeks for those lovely pinks, corals with a bit of sheen).. Using an eyeliner brush transform any of the colours in to a colourful eyeliner! Ways to use are endless.. mix a bronze colour in with your body lotion for those girly nights out. Turn your boring clear nail polish in to something more exciting!!

Super Gloss Lip Plumpers

Now the Bellapierre mineral lipsticks are fab coming in a range of colours and gorgeous brights.. But the Lip Plumpers are amazing! There are 4 shades to choose from and are made again with all natural ingredients which have the potential to enhance collagen and hyularonic acid which creates the plumping effect. I find when working on clients mature women love these.. perhaps 30 plus as it is a great product that helps minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth for a more youthful look.
