I have been using Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil for many years.. It is made by taking the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia which is native to the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. It has amazing  medical properties including antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral. Apply directly to minor cuts, pimples, abrasions, bites and stings or even pour in to bath for a relaxing soak.

ART.

Those of you in London may have already seen this. Beautiful work carved straight out of on old poster wall in East London. Artist..... Unknown. It's beautiful!

Nail Art

Join the Nail Polish Revolution..

I was browsing around in Selfridges a few weeks back when I stumbled across a company called Incoco, American brand. A lady trialed the product on a couple of my nails and explained how to create the perfect manicure in minutes.. (she was brilliant and so so friendly, great at her job!) Using what looked like stickers though was made from purely 100% nail polish (base coat, colour coat and top coat). I was amazed (and now disappointed I took no pictures). No drying times, no streaks, no smudges, no mess. I instantly thought about nails on set and fiddling and worrying about expensive garments and always being extra careful and waiting for them to dry forever. There was a library of colours and patterns to choose from. Fit to any nail as they are made to stretch and fit which worked like a charm. They looked fabulous! Priced at roughly £25.00 for 2 manicures (though with my small short nails I could get 4 manicures.. which is great

Check them out.. http://www.incoco.com/

At first.. I thought the price was too high.. so went on a hunt to find you guys a more affordable brand to give you the option.. I found Nail Ease.. AMAZING! in boots. They cost me just under £6.00 we're still very fun and easy to apply but quality wise Incoco stood out. Here's how I went...

Similar packaging with just as many colours and prints online, but limited in the Boots I was at.

I found Incoco stretched to fit nails a lot easier then Nail Ease and overall created a neater appearance.

This was the day of the Nail ease application. The next day they started to chip at the top (took Incoco over 2 weeks to show any form of chipping.. My nails grew them out before any product faults.. Nail Ease felt more like stickers then nail polish..

Though to be fair I got just as many positive comments on both and enjoyed the art of both brands.. For the price of Nail Ease I would go back again and again Great for an event, a night out, or a girly night in.

Check out the selection online..

FREE HAIRCUT

A hairdresser friend of mine who works at the wonderful Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden (Floral St) has asked me to try and round up anyone that may be interested in being a Hair Model.. There are some particular hair cuts he needs you for.. but if you are up for a change or need a haircut get in touch and I'll pass on his number so you can have a chat etc.

He has described to me he needs ladies interested in..
A pixie haircut (think Emma Watson, Halle Berry, Mia Farrow)
Another is a Geometric Bob (graduated from the back)
And the last is a messier haircut, free hand cut, shortish and a bit out of bed look..

Any questions best to ask him.. Don't be shy just get in touch and I'll pass you on. xx

Thanks for your time.

RECENT WORK 2011

VOGUE RUSSIA!!!!
Featured spread with Alexsandra Melinchenko photographed in her home amongst her beautiful art collection. (sorry for the blur)

Commercial - Hilton Hotels

I created the Hair Style for this designers lookbook which I worked on a few months ago.. Still waiting on images so hopefully can get some better quality images up soon. This is a pic from a screen on the day. x

Photographer I worked with just sent me this.. Basically a couple months ago I spent a few days with a couple different models working on lookbooks and rebranding and website material for a gorgeous jewellery brand in Kensington. I am still waiting for images from the client.. but one of the images has been completed and posted on the wall of the shop!!! (below)

Also worked with an African Couture Designer when he was in London on some images for his PR. (below)

New additions to the kit..

Not sure what I have done.. but couldn't figure out how to rotate the photo.. hahah! Oh well you all get the idea.. These are the latest items to add to my kit..  The two on either side of the Mac Pro Pallette were gifts.. Thanks B

From left to right..

IMAN luxury radiance liquid foundation -
Iman is a brand producing Makeup and Skincare for women of colour.. so great one for the kit and perfect when looking for the right colour match. First as you all know I love any products coming in plastic packaging.. saves me on weight when lugging my kit around.. This is a water based foundation which glides on beautifully. Easy to blend with other shades and other water based foundations for a flawless finish.. Interested in trying the other products in the line.

Mac Pro Colour Pallette - £11.50  or even less if you have a Mac pro discount Card. Great for organising your eyeshadows.. Great for Make-up Artists. One of the slimmest pallettes on the Market and not a bad price.. Fits 15 Mac eyeshadows.. or if you remove the innner plastic thingy I managed to squeeze in 28 (mix of Mac and other brands) So great!! Saves so much space and fiddily packaging.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil -  This wonderful gem helps  to improve the appearance of scars, wrinkles, stretch marks. Also helps other skin concerns such as dry and dehydrated skin, uneven skin tones etc.. So many uses though need to be consistent with the use. Contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 to help restore healthy skin. Only need 2 drops! Currently testing it out on a scar will let you know how I get on..

Depotting Eyeshadows

I spent this morning depotting some eyeshadows and last week some lipsticks.. I am super organised and always trying to sort my kit out in the best possible way.. Minimise weight and space as most my days consist of lots of travelling with my Hair and Makeup kit . It can be a nightmare to lugg my kit up stairs, on trains etc and around so finding little palettes and cases and compartments are great to make my kit feel lighter and smaller which makes for an easier journey to work everyday.

Depotting eyeshadows is a great idea for anyone with lots of eyeshadows.. !!They save time when applying makeup. It keeps things organised. It's inspiring (as I tend to sort mine in colours- light to dark etc). And what I love most is I get to throw most of the bulky packaging the small eyeshadows are purchased in.. Which saves me so much room!!!! Usually The more luxurious brands I leave as is as clients love to see what you are using sometimes. And some are so precious I can't get myself to melt these like the others..

Look at the pictures and how much packaging I no longer have to pack in my kit.. So great as I can carry more product now. So easy to do.. Some palettes you can buy have magnetic to hold eyeshadows down others I just tape down ( double sided tape is my saviour).

I stick my eyeshadows in the oven on a tray and the plastic melts away from the shadow without harming the product.. I then very carefully using a metal spatula dish them put and stick down to pallette.. ( you will start to notice some eyeshadow pans are magnetic and some aren't..

Any questions shoot them through

Look what I found..

I worked on a shoot way back for istock.. We spent a few days with various commercial models.. And since this shoot I have spotted my work across the world from pictures used in Miami for Hilton Hotel ads.. To Eurostar ads in Europe and recently London posters for hospitals commercials...

BATISTE 2011

My most recent blog post was a few words on Batiste Dry Shampoo which my lovely friend introduced to me.. After giving the product a try and typing away my thoughts for all you readers.. I decided to give the Batiste press team a call to get you all the downlow and all the current goss on the brand.. Here's what I found out..

2011 has announced New colour tinted Dry shampoos.. Light, medium and dark to match with your hair colour.. these have the added bonus to temporarily cover regrowth till your next salon appointment too!! Batiste have given the brand a fresh new look.. still sticking with the retro designs the brand is recognised for.. they now have a more contemporary look, and have now great new sizes 50ml, 200ml and 400ml cans to choose from.

The most exciting news of all.. The new Batiste XXL Volume is a product to help banish oil whilst adding serious volume. The body boosting formula includes micro-fine particles to coat and lift each hair..which adds texture and fullness without the weight some other products tend to leave.. Great value for money starting as low as £1.55 - £4.99.

BATISTE

Start the day with Batiste Dry Shampoo.. Am so happy a friend recommended this product to me..
Helps to rid oil and creates body and volume also.. So great for my kit as do tend to get clients who sit in front of me and have oily scalp or dull, limp hair needing a quick revamp in minutes.. Batiste is an instant hair refresh.. No time to wash hair? At a festival? No time for a shampoo..? This is the product to go to. Plenty in the range.. I love BOHO! Smells great and Easy to use too. x
