New York, New York

Came across this gorgeous painting walking the streets of New York..

Royal Wedding

Will and Kates big day this Friday.. who will do her Hair and Make-up? What will she wear? In prep for the big day for those not in London.. Regent St is filled with flags!

PAUL MITCHELL

Paul Mitchell Hair Care products have been around for 30 years, on offer are over 100 different products to choose from for all hair types and are affordable and available worldwide.. My first encounter with the products was a few years back when I moved to London.. and still 4 years on.. still loving and using there products. The brand was born through 2 friends, $700 and just 3 products!! So it's success we see today is amazing. They also offer great support to Hairdressers, Stylists, Make-up Artists, so well respected within the industry. What a fantastic company. Take a look below of some of my Paul Mitchell favs!

Paul Mitchell IN MY BATHROOM.

Now Paul Mitchell has a Tea Tree range to pamper your mind, body and soul.. I love love love love these!!! (and I am usually a non fragrant kinda gal when it comes to product ingredients) This is a range containing Tea Tree oils combined with Lavender Mint or Lemon Sage extracts. I have yet to try the Lemon Sage selection but have tried many products from the Lavender Mint selection.. and wow!! These smell a million dollars.. they transform you to a magical place.. I recommend these to all I know.. The Shampoo and Conditioners are hydrating and calming and have a soothing fragrance to accompany these delicious products. The scents that come with these will calm your senses. Body Butter is super thick and creamy, ultra rich with Shea butter and Vitamin E.. this is great paired up with the Body Wash... Ahhhhhhh

MUST TRY.. Can't wait to get my hands on some more of these. next stop Lemon Sage!

Paul Mitchell IN MY KIT

Super Clean Spray
This is a lightweight Finishing Spray, but works just as well as a working spray too. Smells amazing with a hint of watermelon. It is fast drying which I love and need when on jobs.. offers flexible styling, shine and allows you to brush through without any stickyness you often get with other hairsprays. Spray on dry hair. (Not for strong hold). Added bonus is it protects against sun damage!

Hot Off The Press
This is a Thermal Protection Spray.. 'My iron's best friend'. It is quick drying, protects when using heated tools and offers flexible hold. I have tried so many Heat protecting sprays and unfortunately  I find a lot out there are 2 wet and strong which aren't great when using heat.. as can sometimes turn hair sticky and dirty.. This one has the perfect consistency. Boosts hair strength, fights frizz!

Spray Wax
This is a non oily wax with a satin finish..What I love most is the spray feature, light aerosol mist! Easy to apply to all length hair, bendable texture.. Always in my kit, never leave home without it! Great for when grooming guys.

APRIL LOVES CHANEL..

April Loves Chanel..

Stocked up on some of Chanel's Pro Lumiere foundations recently (one of my all time favourites).. The Pro Lumiere is a formula with highly concentrated radiance-emitting active ingredients which leaves you with a luminous finish every time! Rumour has it that this foundation will be off the shelves later this year..discontinued? Oh no!! I'm sure there will be yet another fab foundation from team Chanel to replace.. We'll all just have to wait and find out..

Lets not forget the oh so lovely Eye shadow quads on offer at Chanel.. Great ones out there for brides this summer. I recommend 'Mystic Eyes' (below) for any brides keeping within a natural more neutral theme. Great compact which offers unlimited eye looks. Apply dry for some natural shading or even opt for a damp brush which gives you a more intense and deeper shade of tones.

We all love a good indulgence.. what better a product then.. 'Sublimage Eye' Essential Regenerating Eye Cream. Day and night this product works to fight signs of ageing in the eye area, fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness. This is great when prepping up my clients skin.. So thick, creamy and concentrated only the tiniest amount goes a long way!

Tokyo-Go!

Damien smith directs this awesome vid.. inspired by the hyperactive pace of Tokyo.. Burst of creativity! Great use of fluro cutouts and UV Make-up created by Chereine Waddel. x

DIANE LOVES..

There are many things I love.. but here are some that spring to mind for April. A mix of Beauty must haves..

Nars Jungle Red Lipstick

This is the ultimate classic red lippie.. Who doesn't love a sexy red lip. I love to mix a more orange based red with this as season change and once deep in too summer to compliment my skin tone.. Can be worn in so many ways.. no rules!

The Body Shop Facial Buffer

I LOVE this facial buffer! Best for Dry skin like mine. Just a gentle buff with this everyday gives me brighter skin. Helps tame blemishes and leaves you feeling polished.. BEAUTY BARGAIN £3.00!!

Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion

This one I use religiously for face and body.. Fragrance free and works to hydrate and soften damaged, dry and sensitive skin. This one comes to every job with me.. Can be ordered behind counter at Boots.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment

This balm is bliss. I have been using this for years.. every time I go home to Sydney to visit I grab another tube. Use for Lips, chafing, cuts, dry skin, insect bites, open wounds..the list goes on. Good all rounder! and popular with the professionals backstage too.

Nars Sex Appeal

Another Nars fav of mine is this super soft and sheer peach coloured blush.. Creates a natural glow for those out there with light skin. Layer with another blush for more depth.. or even use as an eyeshadow! £20.50 I believe.

DERMALOGICA

Dermalogica is a skincare range I will always use on myself and on others. I carry it in my Make-up kit always and clients love when I pull these out. Many professional Makeup Artists I know also use the range and I see these products backstage almost everywhere around the world.. Apart from being a respectable and recognisable brand professionally it has been around for over 25 years for many other consumers! They will forever educate the customer and provide products for a range of different concerns with professional help on hand. I am a massive fan! I have chosen 4 products that I just can not live without...

Solar Shield SPF 15
Summer or Winter this easy to use stick is designed for those vulnerable places.. lips, ears, nose mainly. Easy to apply and so functional and a perfect pocket size. Keeps areas protected and moisturised at the same time. Great for women to apply underneath lipstick and provides an SPF 15!

Skin Hydrating Booster
Anyone that has dehydrated skin will adore this little gem. Comes in a cute 30ml bottle and is highly concentrated so you only need the tiniest amount. This is an intense fluid that moisturises thirsty skin and helps repair too. Can also be used as a spot treatment to improve fine lines for anyone with those concerns.

Barrier Repair
This is a waterless Moisturiser. This is great for sensitive skin to help soothe any irritation that has been caused by environmental assaults. Growing up in Sydney in the sunshine this is a must for me. Helps prevent future damage by strengthening your skin and has a velvety touch which I love. This is used to go on top of regular moisturiser.. for any extra help you may need.

Precleanse
I saved the best for last. This is truly my favourite Dermalogica product. Smells absolutely divine so makes the hassle out of Make-up removal a breeze.. a real relaxing and calming scent. This is a plant based cleansing oil which melts through layers of dirt, makeup etc.. I love to apply precleanse first on dry skin massage this in then dampen hands and massage some more, then rinse. It is a gentle blend of oils that is suitable for eye area works wonders removing waterproof mascara!! LOVE THIS!

PURITY ORGANIC SKINCARE

Anyone out there looking to try a new skincare brand or change up there routine or on the hunt for something gentle for sensitive skin... pop in to Superdrug or Holland and Barrett (UK) and reach out for Purity Organic Skincare. This is a Birtish brand and an affordable range and superb for sensitive skin and is gentle enough to be used everyday.. Price range between £4.99 - £8.99 and all products are fragrance free!

I am always on the hunt to find skincare that can work for me and my clients.. I myself have super sensitive skin and tend to react to lots of different products, face and body. I work with a range of different skin types so need to be very careful when packing for my kit and clients too. I have had such a positive experience trialling these products and already have my favorites in the range.

I am a Sydney gal so you can imagine the drastic change of weather I have experienced since moving and living in London.. I have always opted for the non fragrant more sensitive range and always change it up depending on the day, the season, though tend to need more nourishment at the moment as my skin has turned dehydrated and dry from the winter days.. Absolutely loved the 'Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser' for this. It is an intense and rich moisturising cream which I have been using in the mornings. Contains Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter so lovely and creamy when applying, a real treat.

Other key ingredients which makes you go back for more.. Aloe Vera which soothes and protects your skin, Cranberries for their omega 3, 6 and 9 properties, Beeswax, Avacado to soothe the skin, Rose, Oats.. YUM!

They carry in there range also a couple of products suited for more mature skin, so are catering for all age groups.. Another of my favourites was the 'Conditioning Cleansing Lotion' which is a Make-up remover.. Great again for sensitive skin with a blend of coconut based ingredients.. What I love most about this product is that it can either be rinsed off or wiped away.. So convenient..This one has gone straight in my kit..

xx
